When looking at how the new iMac performs with real-world applications, you can clearly see its advantage over the previous generation. Testing conducted by Apple in April 2008 using preproduction 24-inch iMac units with 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processors; all other systems were shipping units. All systems were configured with 2GB of RAM. Photoshop test file size = 120MB. HTML and JavaScript benchmarks based on VeriTest’s iBench Version 5.0 using default settings. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of iMac.
